Temple of the Techno Crones

This year I want to offer a sculptural sanctuary with an ornamental art-deco aesthetic that believes a "city" needs a sacred place for contemplation and soul work.
This sacred space would spiritually ground the masses. An audible message of cawing, oracular crows during the day and operatic vocals seasoned with hallucinogenic fire at night.
The temple temenos consists of three primary arches of texturized steel to form the gothic arched structure of the space. Between each arch prominently sits a massive crow. The physical appearance of the three crows, even though constructed of stainless steel in an art-deco style, has a timeless quality.
Each crow has its own posture and is made completely of stainless steel. The steel enables them to be engulfed in controlled fire and act as resonance chambers for the amplified sound of their oracular responses. At their feet are the housings for the electronic brains of these beings, which also acts as shelter for participants and space for personal contemplation.
The call of the crows invites participants into the temenos sanctuary to ask the oracular structure questions to be answered. Similar to the ancient "Bocca della Verita" or Mouth of Truth, the participant may reach into the central cavity to ask their question. Shortly afterwards one of the three crows or crones will discernibly answer their question. The structure contains a space for the participants to quietly sit and compose their questions and then to calmly contemplate the response. Each evening at dusk, the questions and answers from the day will be woven into an operatic libretto to be performed with fire and song throughout the evening.

of art providing a space for people to evolve in harmony as a community.
