Wave Basket

This weaving started as a chunk of chain link fence on the side of the road. I then suspended its skin/core and wove into it with other thread-like materials. This piece had a resting point of approximately 7' x 3' x 4' for a few months and then grew tremendously to suit the environment at Club Six for a one night Aranji show that focused on illumination. Due to its size, the two months of work to engorge it was knocked down to an hour of separating the piece in half to get it out the door of the club. Its then sloughed half was returned to the streets of Oakland where I found it. The core of the form returned to float alongside my lofted bed.
